Sporting clays is a challenging and fun clay target game the closely simulates field shooting.  It is perfect for both the novice and expert shooters. It utilizes different types and sizes of clay targets launched at different speeds and angles. Targets may be crossing, rising, incoming, outgoing, quartering, rolling or hopping, or any combination of these. Sound like fun? Come out and give it a try.

Little Creek Lodge offers 4 different courses with automated launchers.  We were the first sporting clay facility in Wisconsin to have fully automated courses! Our courses are set in natural surroundings with fields, wooded areas, and ponds. Our automated throwers will provide the same aerial target patterns as wild game birds (or as close as you can get).  Courses vary in degree of difficulty so Little Creek Lodge is challenging and fun for shooters of all experience levels.

A round of sporting clays consists of 50 shots at 50 different targets. During a round of sporting clays, the shooters walk from station to station and will see report pairs, true pairs and rolling targets (called “rabbits”). 50 different targets launched from at least 10 different stations will truly test your shotgun hunting abilities.

The equipment you will need to enjoy sporting clay shooting is as follows:

·    shotgun

·    two boxes (25 count each) of shotgun shells

·    Hearing protection and safety glasses are highly recommended.

·   A shooters bag, large fanny pack or vest with large pockets is great for carrying your      ammo.

Little Creek Lodge pro shop stocks all popular gauge shells so you don’t have to worry about having enough ammunition. Shotguns are available for use (free for women and children).

The sporting clays courses are open to the public year-round.
Shooting hours are from 9 a.m. until dusk, Tuesday through Sunday.
